NEWSFLASH! - Weather forecasters who wrongly get our hopes up face custodial sentences

The Government is set to cave in to mounting public pressure and impose custodial sentences for weather-forecasters who give viewers unjustified hopes for days off work with predictions of heavy snow which subsequently fails to materialize.

A survey by 'Conclusive??' a globally-respected think tank based in Market Harborough, found that 69% of workers had taken time off work in the last year, as a result of stress induced by the eagerly anticipated snow duvet days simply not occurring.

"It's shit really isn't it?" commented Laughton Foxton, Conclusive??'s acting head of HR (Maternity Cover) "We've heard some really tragic stories of workers taking out subscriptions to Netflix entirely based on Tommy Shakatak's erroneously doom-laden '10-20cm' projections.  And as for that Sara so called 'Blizzard'..........no not going to go there.
